The purpose of this Warranty information is to assist you in determining what concerns are covered by this warranty and what items are homeowner maintenance.

Please read this book carefully, it will contain some very valuable tips on how to care for your new home.

New Home Break-in Period

The materials used in constructing your new home contains several hundred gallons of water. Things like paint, drywall mud, concrete, and especially wood contain large amount of moisture. During the first year, as your new home cures, much of the moisture will dissipate. As you cook, wash and shower moisture will be returned.

This constant fluctuation combined with the loads of furniture and people will cause a natural settling of your new house. As your home settles, you can expect cracks to appear in walls, usually around doors and windows. This is very normal and should not be cause for alarm.

Your warranty will cover any excessive cracking and it is recommend that you wait, and allow your new home to weather all four seasons before addressing these items.
