What if I have questions about my house during construction? |
We have 3 regularly scheduled meetings for buyers
that purchase uncompleted homes. These meetings are designed so that
you may inspect your home, have your questions answered, and review
your selections. (Please see our selection page).
If it appears no work is being accomplished on my house, what should I do? |
Don't panic! It is very common for a home to sit, with nothing being done, sometimes for
days. Delays are most often a result of:
- city inspection
- contractor redo
- contractor schedule conflict
- weather
The completion date is the target. At each scheduled meeting we will review the targeted
completion date with you.

What if I want to make changes during construction? |
Bring your request to the next scheduled job-site meeting. |
What do I do if I have an emergency problem right after we move in? |
If it is an emergency turn to the last page of your warranty handbook and call the appropriate
contractor, or consult the 'warranty page' on this web site.
What do I do if I have non-emergency issues after I've been living in my home. |
Your warranty for most items is 1 year. We schedule returns with new home buyers to address
these items at 3 months and 11 months . Please follow the instructions in your warranty handbook
or consult the warranty page on this web site.
Who will explain to us the operation and functions of our new home? |
Our 3rd and final meeting at your home site, just before you move in, is dedicated to a walk thru
inspection, a review of homeowner maintenance and warranty procedures.
If our home is completed before our closing date can we move in? |
Yes, assuming all your lender closing requirements have been completed, closing has taken place
and the money has been transferred to the Seller.
When do I start planning the move into our new home? |
Because the are so many variables in the construction scheduling of construction, the closing
date on your contract is just an estimate of your move-in date. A firm closing date and move-in
date will be set - usually this is after the carpet is scheduled to be installed. You will be notified
of the date at which you may take possession. |
